What are general elections?

What is the difference between DU and JNU elections?
Both JNU and DU are renowned universities of the country. In both the student union elections, youth from all over the country participate. For example, in DU, election campaigning is done during the day and campus time, whereas in JNU, election campaigning is done mostly at night. While the participation of hostelers is more in DU, there are more day-scholars in DU. Besides, the election issues in both the campuses are also quite different. While in DU a lot of money is spent on election campaign, in JNU the election campaign is done in a very intelligent and calm manner.
